Remi Cachet Pro Tips are the perfect choice for people with very fine hair because the tips are smaller than Ultra Tips, so the bonds won’t be seen where the hair is finest, like around the hairline. Pro Tips are also designed to lie flat to the head, so the end result is very natural.

How are they fitted?

Pro Tip hair extensions are fitted using the Ultra Lock, a tiny oval lock made out of copper that is gently squeezed to clamp the extensions to your natural hair. To remove the hair extensions, your stylist will use micro pliers to release the lock and the hair should just slide out.

How to maintain and care for Pro Tip hair extensions

Pro Tips can last a good 9 months with proper care, and I always recommend booking regular maintenance appointments to stop any matting or other issues in their tracks. Here are the Do’s and Don’ts of caring for Pro Tips.

DO

- Brush out any tangles before you wash your extensions

- Use the recommended products and always read the instructions

- Wash your hair with lukewarm water and keep your head upright

- When you’re done, pat the hair dry with a towel, don’t rub it

- Tie your hair in a loose ponytail or plait when exercising and before you go to bed

- Separate the bonds regularly to avoid matting

DON'T

- Use products or heated styling tools near the bonds. Use a cool setting near the roots

- Don’t wash your hair too often-remember that the extensions aren’t attached to the scalp and they don’t get the benefit of natural oils to hydrate them so they can end up dry

- Don’t colour, tint, or perm the hair because it has already been processed. Some people do but I don’t recommend it

- Don’t go swimming without slathering your hair in conditioner and tying it up. Be sure to wash the hair immediately afterwards

- Don’t miss your regular maintenance appointments.
